Discovery Center Welcomes the "Connecticut Line" 
Join The Durham Fair and the Discovery Center in welcoming the "Connecticut Line", the Living History/Color Guard Unit of the Connecticut Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR). Visit their authentic encampment, watch them muster and parade each day at noon and on Sunday, Sept. 28, at 9:00 am, join us on the town green to celebrate Durham's Revolutionary War Veterans. Mark Twain? At the Durham Fair... 
The Discovery Center extends an invitation to all fairgoers to meet Mark Twain* at the Main Gate to the fair at 11:30 am, Saturday, Sept. 27 and stroll with him down to our new Potbelly Place in the Farm Museum. At 1:30 pm, gather ‘round the potbelly stove and listen to Mark as he talks with you about his life in Connecticut and on the Mississippi River. *Click here for more information
Animal Costume Parade Sunday, Sept. 28 at 2:00 pm 
You have to see it to believe it! Rosette ribbons will be awarded for the categories of funniest, prettiest, and most original. Dairy cattle, beef cattle, sheep, swine, goats, poultry, and rabbits may participate. See the judging in the Cow Palace Show Ring at the front of the Dairy Barn. Click here for more information. |
